Nehvizdy combines historic buildings and a memorial with a range of sports and courses. If you are looking for a hotel in Nehvizdy, these topics can help you choose a destination that suits your interests. The offerings vary considerably, from the historic church precinct to seasonal tennis court rentals and courses with a set programme.

St. Wenceslas and the historic heritage

The Parish Church of St. Wenceslas has been documented as a parish church since 1361. The small building dates from the late 13th century and is classified as originally Romanesque or early Gothic. The precinct of St. Wenceslas is the most significant surviving part of Nehvizdy’s historical heritage. This places the town in context both through its architectural history and its early documented ecclesiastical function.

The Anthropoid Memorial

The memorial to the parachute landing of Operation Anthropoid stands on U Hřbitova Street, near the Nehvizdy sports complex. The sandstone monument is shaped like a parachute. Three bronze rods, or parachute cords, bear the names of the paratroopers and the title of their mission. Its form, material and inscriptions give the memorial a distinctive connection to the remembrance of the operation. The location is easily accessible to visitors; check local conditions before your visit.

Sports facilities and courses

The Nehvizdy sports complex has an athletics track, a football pitch, a beach volleyball court and tennis courts. Several different sports are therefore represented. If you want to use a particular facility, check its current availability in advance.

The courts at the Sokol Nehvizdy tennis complex were renovated in 2025 and fitted with an artificial surface and new fencing. A report from 2026 describes the courts as being extensively used. The complex is rented out to the general public only during the summer months. Confirm access for your dates in advance.
