If you are looking for a hotel in Nepřevázka, nature and history offer two specific points of reference for planning your trip. The Chlum nature trail runs through flower-rich meadows and along the edge of thermophilous oak forests to the Švédské šance hillfort. Other places of interest include the chapel in Nepřevázka and a memorial plaque at the hunting lodge in Chloumek. You can therefore shape your stay around the landscape, archaeological traces or local history.

Trails and landscape

Two newly built cycle routes and a restored path start directly from Nepřevázka. A forest path also leads from Nepřevázka to Chloumek. The Chlum nature trail begins in flower-rich meadows beyond Nepřevázka. Beyond Chloumek, it runs along the edge of thermophilous oak forests and leads to the well-known Švédské šance hillfort. The trail thus describes both a change in landscape and a specific historical destination. For planning purposes, these routes can be distinguished: the cycle routes and restored path start directly from Nepřevázka, while the forest path leads to Chloumek and the nature trail ends at the hillfort.

Chlum Nature Park

Chlum Nature Park comprises wooded and grassy slopes. The park is home to 54 endangered plant species; it has also been included in Natura 2000 as a site of European importance. The slopes, plant species and protected status offer different ways to appreciate the natural environment: the landscape reveals its composition, the number of species draws attention to endangered plants, and Natura 2000 designation marks its European importance. If you also want to take natural values into account when choosing a destination, the park offers a clearly defined focus.

Chapel, hunting lodge and spring

The chapel in Nepřevázka is worth a visit. In Chloumek, a memorial plaque at the hunting lodge commemorates Bedřich Smetana’s stay there. Below the hunting lodge, a drinking-water spring feeds a fountain where you can refresh yourself. The hunting lodge is therefore both a historical point of interest and a practical landmark along the way: the plaque commemorates Smetana, and the fountain offers refreshment. The chapel is a separate attraction in Nepřevázka. Cultural sites in the village and a place of remembrance and orientation in Chloumek thus offer different aspects to consider when planning your trip.

Archaeological traces at Švédské šance

Švédské šance is an earthwork dating from the earliest settlement of the landscape. Archaeological finds indicate that the site has been inhabited since the Palaeolithic. In the Early Middle Ages, a heavily fortified settlement of the Slavic Charváten tribe was established there. These clues mark different historical periods: the finds point to settlement dating back to the Palaeolithic, whereas the fortified settlement belongs to the Early Middle Ages. This distinction in time is essential to understanding the hillfort; the archaeological evidence and the later fortified settlement do not represent the same period. The association with the Charváten gives the settlement a specific historical context, while the earthwork itself points to the early settlement of the landscape.
