Reasons to visit Velké Přílepy include a traditional autumn event for families with children, cinema screenings outside the summer holidays, a gallery, and two chapels with different historical connections. If you are looking for a hotel in Velké Přílepy, these attractions can help you plan when to travel: an event date, the cinema schedule, and a gallery visit by prior appointment each call for different planning steps.

Events and Cinema

Velkopřílepské aviohrátky is a traditional autumn event organized by the Velké Přílepy model-building club together with the municipality for families with children. Dates and program may change. If the event is the deciding factor for your travel dates, check the specific date before booking.

Outside the summer holidays, the Velké Přílepy cinema usually screens films once a month on a Friday. It offers children’s screenings at 3:00 and 5:00 pm, as well as an evening screening at 7:00 pm. This makes it easy to plan a cinema visit as a separate activity in your day. Individual screenings may change, so check the date you want before making plans.

Gallery and Restaurant

The U Korychů Gallery is located in the U Korychů building, on the first floor above a restaurant, and is suitable for exhibitions and discussion events. Visits are possible only by prior telephone appointment, so arrange your visit by phone in advance. Unlike the recurring cinema schedule, visiting the gallery requires an individual appointment.

The former manor farm also provides a historical point of interest: its granary was converted into a stylish restaurant. If you are planning to visit this restaurant, check before your visit whether it is operating as a restaurant.

Two Chapels with Different Historical Connections

The Chapel of St. Gothard was built in 1880 in the Romanesque Revival style on the site of an earlier Baroque chapel, and has been preserved in its original form. It is located in the Kamýk district on the road to Noutonice and Okoř. Its building history thus links the later structure to an earlier chapel on the same site.

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary dates from 1725. It is located not far from the town center, on the left-hand side of the road to Roztoky. The two chapels offer different historical points of interest: at St. Gothard’s, the focus is on the 1880 construction date and its Baroque predecessor; at the Chapel of the Virgin Mary, it is the date of 1725.

This creates a distinction between scheduled attractions and historical sites: events and cinema are tied to specific dates or a recurring program, while the chapels are described by their building history and location. Check specific event dates if they determine your stay, and arrange your gallery visit by phone.
