For a stay in Zeleneč, you can consider several interests separately: cultural monuments in the village, travel by public transport, and golf. The niche chapel and the stone cross offer different points of interest in the village; AGEL Golf Mstětice has its own playing and practice facilities.

Niche Chapel and Village Square

In the village center, the niche chapel with its bell tower stands on the village square between four lime trees. It was built in 1863 and has been a protected cultural monument since 1958. Inside is a stone statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. The two dates mark different milestones: 1863 is the year it was built, while 1958 marks the start of its protected status. This distinguishes the building’s origins from its later designation as a protected monument. The bell tower, its location on the village square, and the statue bring together architecture and religious art in a specific place.

Stone Cross on the Northern Edge

Another protected cultural monument is the stone cross on the northern edge of Zeleneč, on the road to Svémyslice. Its location differs from that of the chapel: the cross is on the edge of the village, while the chapel is in the center, on the village square. This allows you to distinguish between two monument sites using clear landmarks, rather than treating both simply as general cultural attractions.

Golf Course and Practice Areas

AGEL Golf Mstětice is an 18-hole golf course inspired by classic Scottish links courses. It is set in gently rolling countryside with bunkers and water features. The inspiration and the course features refer to two different aspects: the links influence indicates the design direction, while the terrain, bunkers, and water features describe the course’s specific surroundings. The course is suitable for advanced and recreational golfers. For practice, there is a 280-meter driving range with 30 teeing areas and target greens, as well as a chipping and pitching green and a putting green. The length and number of teeing areas can be distinguished from the additional practice greens. This lets you weigh up playing an 18-hole round against focusing on practice in the specifically named areas.

Getting There by Train and Bus

Zeleneč is in fare zone 1 of the Prague Integrated Transport system. The village is served by Czech Railways lines S2, S22, and S9, as well as bus line 353. For your trip planning, the lines and fare zone answer different questions: the lines identify train and bus connections, while the zone determines Zeleneč’s fare classification. If you plan to travel by public transport, check the current timetable and fares before your trip. Lines and fare rules may change.

Cycling Route Planning

A cycling route around the data center site in Zeleneč was planned as part of the Greenway Jizera main cycling route. The planned route is a distinct aspect of local cycling infrastructure planning and should be distinguished from the train and bus lines.
