History

On the outskirts of Bakov nad Jizerou, in the Podhradí area, are the ruins of Zvířetice Castle and Chateau. Zvířetice Castle was founded in 1287 as a Gothic fortress. In the 16th century, it was converted into a Renaissance chateau.

Culture
