Nemojov is a place where different travel interests can be linked to specific themes: forests and nature along educational trails, historic building styles, and a seasonal cultural event nearby. When planning your trip, it is worth keeping these points of interest distinct: some lead to a trail profile, while others relate to architectural styles or an Advent concert.

Location and history

Nemojov was first mentioned in a written record in 1528. Together with the neighbouring districts, it is considered a dispersed settlement among forests on the left bank of the Elbe. This brings together a specific historical reference point and a landscape that also takes in the neighbouring places.

Educational trails and nature themes

Hájemství is an environmental education area with an educational trail. Its arboretum features 22 trees from the Celtic tree calendar; there is also a children's playground. Nature education and the arboretum sit alongside a dedicated play area. Visitors wishing to explore nature themes will find both a learning trail and a collection of trees here.

The Les Království educational trail lies within the municipality of Nemojov and covers forestry, dendrology (the study of trees), hunting, forest animals and nature. Its themes range from managed forests and tree studies to hunting and forest animals, with nature providing the broader framework for the trail. It starts at Hájemství and ends at a children's sanatorium near the Les Království Dam. The dam has a masonry arch dam that is 218 metres long and 41.1 metres high.

The educational trail is four kilometres long, of moderate difficulty, and has a paved surface and seven stations. Its length, difficulty, surface and number of stations give you concrete points of reference when choosing; check the conditions on the trail before your trip. Hájemství has a different focus: its environmental education area includes an arboretum and playground, while Les Království is described as a route with its own profile and stations.

The international Labská stezka cycle route also passes through Nemojov. It offers a distinct option for cyclists and, as a cycling route, clearly differs from the themed trails in terms of activity.

Historic cottages and Advent culture

The historic cottages in Nemojov are described as wooden houses with beams hewn on two sides, wattle-and-daub infill, thatched roofs and wooden gables. The building style is therefore defined by more than just wood: the framework, wall infill and exterior form are characterised by different construction details. Visitors exploring traditional rural architecture can consider these features as a distinct cultural and historical aspect alongside the area's nature themes.

A seasonal cultural event takes place nearby in Starobucké Debrné: the Church of the Sacred Heart regularly hosts a concert by the ZUŠ Trutnov and ZUŠ R. A. Dvorského music schools. It is held during Advent. Check the specific event dates if you would like to plan your trip around the concert.
