Morávka is characterised by deep mountain valleys and wild mountain streams. The entire municipal area of Morávka lies within the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area.

Nature and Water

One of the designated protected areas in Morávka is the Travný Nature Reserve. On the western slope of Travný, it protects natural fragments of forest stands at elevations ranging from 530 to 1,203 metres. The “Wolfram” educational trail comprises nine stations covering the dramatic circumstances of the operation and the individual members of the Wolfram paratrooper group, which was dropped into the Morávka valley in September 1944.
