When searching for a hotel in Navsi, you can tailor your stay to specific interests: hiking, cycling, nature or cultural history. Local points of interest include the Halamova Trail, the Olza–Olše cycling route, several historic sites and a stop for international express trains. You can start by considering which of these themes will be the focus of your trip.

Natural Areas and Trails

In the area around Návsí, the broad valley of the Olše separates two mountain ranges. Filipka is a designated natural monument within the cadastral area of Návsí u Jablunkova. It protects a 1.0642-hectare pasture with a common juniper population of varying ages. The protected area thus combines two specific features: its pastureland character and junipers that include trees of different ages.

The Halamova Trail, which is of interest to hikers and nature enthusiasts, is about 20 kilometres long and starts in Návsí. On the border ridge with Poland, it connects to hiking trails marked in yellow, red and blue. Both the trail’s approximate length and its connection to three marked trails are relevant when planning your trip. The stated length is an estimate; the hiking trails are distinguished by their colours.

There is also a specific route for cyclists: cycling route No. 10, Olza–Olše, passes through Návsí between Jablunkov and Třinec. It is part of a main long-distance cycling route that runs from the Polish border to Chotěbuż. If you choose a section to ride, check the local signs.

Architectural History and Historic Sites

The evangelical church in Návsí is a single-nave brick building in the Empire style. Construction began in 1817, and it was consecrated in 1820. The two dates mark different stages: the start of the building project and its later consecration. Zámčisko, the remains of a small medieval fortification in Návsí, is another historic site.

A former evangelical school is now known as SborovĂ˝ dĹŻm Emaus. Since the 1990s, it has served the general public as a venue for training and recreational stays. SborovĂ˝ dĹŻm has five rooms with a total of 20 beds, as well as two common rooms. If you are considering this facility for your stay, check availability before your trip.

A report from 2014 describes the opening of a military centre in Návsí. Originally, it brought together two independent projects: the archive of the military history of Cieszyn Silesia and a private collection of heavy military equipment. In the presentation described at the time, visitors could admire tanks, military trucks and a newly built bunker.

Getting There and Other Activities

International express trains from Slovakia, Czechia and Poland stop in Návsí. Check the timetable for your travel dates. The train stop adds to the information about local trails and sights, but does not imply any particular connection or frequency.

A local reservoir in Návsí may be used for fishing with the required permit. If fishing is part of your travel plans, arrange the permit in advance. This lets you plan the activity as part of your stay, alongside other options such as hiking trails, the cycling route and cultural sites.
