Potůčník can be explored through several specific themes: the pilgrimage site with the small Chapel of St. Anne, the red-marked hiking trail through the town, and the geographical features of the Branná and Potůčník stream. The recurring Hanušovická 50 is also a local topic.

St. Anne’s pilgrimage site

Potůčník is home to a pilgrimage site with the small Chapel of St. Anne. A religious tradition attributes healing properties to the water that emerges at the chapel. For travellers interested in pilgrimage sites, this provides a specific focus: the chapel and the water tradition associated with it.

Valley, water power and springs

The lower part of Potůčník’s cadastral area lies in the Branná Valley. A mill first harnessed the river’s water power; later, other businesses also used it. The Potůčník stream, by contrast, rises from several small springs in the hills of the Hanušovická vrchovina, which are over 650 metres high. The Branná’s water power and the Potůčník’s springs thus represent two different aspects of the landscape: the former use of a river and the origin of a stream in hilly terrain. Water provides a thematic link between the landscape and the pilgrimage site.

Hiking trail through Potůčník

A red-marked hiking trail runs from Hanušovice via Hynčice nad Moravou and Potůčník to the Nad sv. Annou trail junction. Potůčník is one stop along this route; Hanušovice is the starting point, and the trail junction is the named endpoint. This makes it possible to understand the route as a trail passing through several named places. If you plan to hike it, check the markings on site before relying on the route.

Hanušovická 50

The Hanušovická 50 is a traditional tourist outing with regular stops for food and drinks. The 26th edition took place in 2023; the 28th was held on 21 June 2025 at the premises of KOSTKA – kolobka, s.r.o. in Potůčník. At the 2025 edition, participants who did not bring their own kick scooter could rent one on site. Since the date and rental offer applied to that edition, check both again before taking part in a future event.

KOSTKA complex

A regional tourism description from 2020 mentions the KOSTKA complex in Potůčník, with a showroom and a test area. At the time, visitors could try out most of the models in the then-current range at the test area. The opportunity to try the products was at the test area; the showroom was another part of the complex. Since the visitor information dates from 2020, check in advance whether the showroom and test area are currently open to visitors.
