Víceměřice offers several distinct points of interest for a stay: the educational trail explores nature and archaeology, the Museum of Life focuses on everyday life and local history, and Vyhlídka Kozlov adds a viewpoint to these themes. Regular cultural events round out the picture. To plan your trip, you can choose a focus—such as nature, archaeology, local history or a particular cultural event.

Educational Trail with Nature and Archaeology Themes

The Víceměřice educational trail is 4.5 kilometres long and has six stations. The fifth information panel introduces the animal and plant life found in the Svodnice. Another panel provides information about the Kratiny archaeological site. The panels offer different perspectives: one focuses on nature, another on archaeology. The trail's length and number of stations provide a clear guide for planning your visit; check the path conditions in advance.

Kratiny is a La Tène-period lowland settlement and also a production and distribution centre of regional importance. The archaeological area extends across several cadastral territories. The site thus combines a particular type of settlement with historical significance extending beyond the region. If you are especially interested in archaeology, the information panel on the educational trail offers a specific point of reference for this subject.

Local History and Historical Perspectives

The Víceměřice Museum of Life documents life from the 1930s to the 1990s. Its collection includes more than 3,000 large and small everyday objects. The museum also features an exhibition on the history of individual houses in Víceměřice. Local history therefore ranges from everyday objects and several decades of life to the stories of individual houses.

Víceměřice Chateau developed from a 16th-century Renaissance fortress. Its architectural history provides a different point of reference in time from the decades covered by the museum. Together with the La Tène-period site at Kratiny, these offer different historical perspectives: an archaeological settlement, a Renaissance fortress, and the history of everyday life and individual houses. The Chapel of St Florian can be visited by prior arrangement as part of a tour lasting approximately 30 minutes. Arrange a time before you arrive if you plan to take the tour.

Viewpoint and Cycling Route

Vyhlídka Kozlov is on Kozlov Hill above Víceměřice, at an elevation of 251 metres above sea level. From there, you can enjoy a view towards the Hostýnské vrchy hills. This sets the viewpoint apart from the information panel about the Svodnice: the former offers a stated viewing direction, while the panel focuses on the animal and plant life found there.

The “Trip to the Sights and Nature of the Prostějov Region” cycling route also passes through Víceměřice. If you plan to follow this route, check the current signposting beforehand, as routes can change. The educational trail and cycling route offer different starting points for planning; this does not mean that their routes are connected.

Plan for Cultural Events

Balls and other cultural events are held regularly in Víceměřice. They are organised by local associations in cooperation with the municipal office. If a ball or another event is the reason for your trip, check the specific event date in advance. This allows you to plan your trip around the event that interests you while also taking into account the town's enduring historical and landscape-related attractions.
