If you are looking for a hotel in Dolní Morava, it is worth first considering the excursions you have planned. The destination combines striking structures at altitude, mountain trails of varying lengths, activity areas, and natural and cultural heritage. These differences provide a practical basis for weighing up your interests during your stay.

Structures at altitude: Sky Bridge 721 and Stezka v oblacích

Sky Bridge 721 at Horský resort Dolní Morava is a 721-metre-long pedestrian suspension bridge. It connects two mountain ridges and runs 95 metres above the ground. Stezka v oblacích is situated 1,116 metres above sea level and is 55 metres high. Its wooden walkway is 710 metres long; there is also a 100-metre-long slide.

When comparing lengths, the figure of 721 metres refers to the suspension bridge, while 710 metres refers to the wooden walkway at Stezka. The slide is an additional feature with its own length of 100 metres. This makes it possible to match the measurements to the respective structures and attractions.

You can reach Stezka v oblacích by taking the Sněžník chairlift or on foot. Access is barrier-free. A wheelchair can be transported on the chairlift by prior arrangement with the lift staff. As operating conditions may change, check the latest information before your visit. Stezka v oblacích also features a net fall, a toboggan and a passage known as the “Rukáv” as adventure attractions.

Trails of varying lengths

Trail Park Dolní Morava has 31 kilometres of trails, including an 8-kilometre family route with wide, banked turns and numerous rest stops. Another specific option is the 7-kilometre Selský Flow Trail. It is moderately challenging, runs below Stezka v oblacích and offers views of Chlum and the Dolní Morava valley. The 31 kilometres describe the trail network as a whole, not the length of a single route.

The two routes have different features: the family route is described as having banked turns and rest stops, while the Selský Flow Trail is noted for its moderate difficulty and views. There is also a 15-kilometre panoramic mountain scooter ride. The route and conditions of the Selský Flow Trail may change; check the latest information before setting out.

Themed areas at Mamutíkovy

The Mamutíkovy activity parks include areas themed around water, the forest, the Wild West and the giant mammoth. The interactive mammoth is 13 metres high and has educational and play areas on two floors. The themed areas and the mammoth give you different points of reference if you want to choose excursions by their content rather than just by distance.

Mamutíkova louže includes a 52-metre-long stream with ankle-deep water. Its length and water depth describe a different feature from the themed areas or the multi-storey mammoth. The activity parks therefore offer both a variety of themes and specific measurements for individual attractions.

Natural and cultural heritage

The Králický Sněžník Nature Reserve protects natural mountain forests, waterlogged forests and bog spruce forests, as well as wetlands with raised bogs, spring areas and stream floodplains. Alongside purpose-built attractions, the protection of mountain and wetland habitats is therefore a subject in its own right.

The Church of St. Alois and its grounds are listed as a cultural monument in Dolní Morava. Natural and cultural heritage thus adds a different focus to the range of themes than structures at altitude, trails and activity parks.
