Accommodation in Pravy
Pravy is located in the Pardubice District. The D11 crosses its cadastral area, and the Michnovka-Pravy Natural Monument lies north of the settlement. In the village, the site of a former fortress and a stone cross recall different centuries of local history. A playground is another place for families to visit. When booking a hotel, compare the accommodation’s address with the places you want to visit, and if travelling by bus, check the timetable for your travel date.
Location and Public Transport
The D11 motorway crosses the cadastral area of Pravy. Public bus services in Pravy are provided by Veolia Transport Chrudim. Operators and routes may change, so check the timetable for your specific travel date before planning your journey. The D11 situates the village within the wider area, while the timetable is what matters for a specific bus journey.
The Michnovka-Pravy Natural Area
The Michnovka–Pravy Natural Monument lies north of the settlement, beyond the D11, in the northern part of Pravy’s cadastral area. The Michnovka-Pravy Site of Community Importance covers an area of 2.8234 hectares. As of August 2026, the Michnovka-Pravy Natural Monument consists of two small, endorheic ponds surrounded by deciduous woodland and an extensively managed orchard meadow. If you are using nature as a factor in your choice, the ponds and their described surroundings give you a concrete impression of the local natural environment.
Local History and Historical Sites
The former fortress of Pravy stood on the site of today’s house no. 17. After 1551, the fortress belonged to Vojtěch z Perštejna, who incorporated the acquired property into the Pardubice estate. The fortress fell into ruin in the 16th century. It is therefore part of the village’s older history: its exact location can still be identified, even though the structure itself fell into ruin in the 16th century. Visitors exploring the village can use today’s house no. 17 as a landmark for this historical site.
The term “fortress” refers to a fortified structure, distinguishing this historical site from the stone cross in Pravy. The cross dates from 1859 and was restored in 1903 and 2005. A metal bell tower stands beside it. Unlike the fortress, this is a later historical landmark with two dated restorations. The site of the former fortress at today’s house no. 17 and the surviving cross offer two specific places to visit on a walk around the village.
Playground in Pravy
Pravy has a children’s playground for play and sports activities. If these facilities matter to your travel plans, the playground is another factor to consider when choosing a destination, alongside the natural surroundings and local history.
