Třebčice can be explored from several perspectives: Alej v Třebčicích presents village history through specific stations, the chapel and statue add religious and art-historical highlights, and a named stretch of the Myslívský potok forms part of the ÚSLAVA 5 trout fishing grounds. If you are looking for a hotel for a trip to Třebčice, distinguishing between cultural topics and fishing can make planning easier. This helps you decide whether historical context, sacred art or a particular type of fishing should be the focus of your stay.

Village History at Two Stations

The Alej v Třebčicích project was created by the Municipality of Třebčice together with the Nepomucko Microregion and comprises several stations. The project received support from the “Ochrana přírody 2018” programme of the Plzeň Region. The first station covers the first written mention of Třebčice, dating from 1350, as well as Máchův dvorec. The second station focuses on 1654 and presents Třebčice as a well-balanced agricultural village community. Two different historical accounts therefore stand side by side: 1350 marks the first written record, while 1654 conveys an image of the agricultural village community of that time.

Chapel and Statue

The chapel on the village square in Třebčice has been reconstructed, and the restored chapel includes a bell. It is regarded as a place for meeting, pausing and remembering together. This gives a communal perspective alongside a specific architectural feature. For travellers interested in the significance of sacred places in the village, the bell, encounters and remembrance complement the chronological themes of the Alej with a different perspective.

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands by the bridge towards Lnáře. It is a fine late Baroque sandstone sculpture dating from the 1780s, set on an intricately carved plinth with an inscription and a year. These features allow for a more precise art-historical interpretation: the date places the work in its historical period, sandstone identifies the material, and the treatment of the plinth adds craftsmanship details to the description. The two sacred sites thus have different emphases: the chapel is framed by its bell, encounters and remembrance, while the statue is defined by its style, material and plinth.

A Designated Stretch for Fishing

When fishing, it is important to know the precise boundaries of the waterway. The ÚSLAVA 5 trout fishing grounds include the stretch of the Myslívský potok from the railway bridge in Třebčice to a point 100 metres below the dam of the Myslív Malý pond. These two endpoints distinguish the specified stretch from a general reference to the stream. Fly fishing, float fishing, ledgering and spinning are permitted in the ÚSLAVA 5 fishing grounds. The four methods listed allow you to prepare specifically for your preferred style of fishing, rather than relying only on the general label of trout fishing grounds. Check access and the rules in force before travelling; permitted methods and licence conditions may change.
