Architectural history around the village green
Farmstead No. 1 occupies a prominent position on the northeastern side of the village green. The rural ensemble consists of single-storey buildings arranged in a horseshoe shape around an irregular courtyard. House No. 1 in Dolní Novosedly is a building in the typical South Bohemian peasant Baroque style, dating from 1800. The horseshoe shape describes the arrangement of the buildings, while the term peasant Baroque describes the style of the house: each offers a different insight into the local architecture.
There is also a chapel on the village green. Together with the farmstead ensemble, it provides another architectural landmark in the village. If you are interested in village architecture, you will find both a rural ensemble with a clearly described courtyard layout and a religious building here.
Memorial crosses and historic village sights

Their varied designs and historical dates make the crosses a multifaceted part of local commemorative culture; for some of them, their former use as waymarkers remains a possibility rather than a certainty.
Another historic building is the former Kolářík inn, located in central Dolní Novosedly by the road. It is decorated with murals both inside and out.
