Accommodation in Kučerov
Key features of Kučerov include the architectural history of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, House No. 12, the pilgrimage on June 29 and the biocenter at Rostěnický potok. There is also information about the marked Litenčice cycling routes and a Baroque statue listed as a point of interest on a cycling route in the Větrník microregion. If you are looking for a hotel for a stay in Kučerov, you can first consider whether church and architectural history, religious customs, the landscape or cycling is most important to your trip.
Church and House No. 12
The present-day Church of Saints Peter and Paul was built between 1749 and 1758. It replaced an older church that had been destroyed and stood in a different location. Both the construction period of the present building and the different location of its predecessor are therefore part of the local church’s history.
House No. 12 is a Haná-style earthen house built mainly from unfired bricks. It is the only surviving house with a žudr in Kučerov. The house is open to the public and has been a national cultural monument since 2014. The two buildings have different points of interest: the church is notable for replacing a building at a different location, while the house stands out for its construction method, materials and surviving žudr.
Pilgrimage and dated event program
The parish of Kučerov celebrates the pilgrimage to Saints Peter and Paul on June 29; it is tied to the parish feast day. The connection to the same saints links this recurring tradition with the name of the present-day church. The years 1749 to 1758, by contrast, mark the construction of the church building: the feast day and the construction period offer two different ways to explore the village’s history.
The program for Napoleonské dny 2022 in Kučerov included a period military encampment, training and maneuvers, a Napoleonic battle and a ceremonial parade. Its time frame differs from that of the pilgrimage: the pilgrimage is tied to the recurring parish feast day, while the event program explicitly relates to 2022.
Biocenter and water features
The biocenter at Rostěnický potok lies within the cadastral area of Kučerov. It includes a larger flowing pool and four side ponds that are not flowing. The site can therefore be understood in terms of its location by the stream and the differences in water flow across its water features. For travelers who want to explore the landscape through specific features, this layout provides a precise point of reference.
Cycling routes and navigation
The Litenčice cycling routes are marked with colors and signposts; the signs show distances in kilometers or pictograms. This provides several practical aids for navigating the routes. A cycling route in the Větrník microregion lists Kučerov’s Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk as a point of interest along the way. The information focuses on different things: the marking system is described for the Litenčice cycling routes, while a specific point of interest is identified for the Větrník microregion route. If you would like to combine cycling with cultural history, you can take this connection into account when choosing your destination.
