If you are considering Nárameč as a destination for a stay, you can base your choice of location on specific features: the remains of a stone castle complex, a late Baroque chapel with a nearby stone cross, a war memorial, and a pond and nature park. The historical sites relate to different periods; the landscape features provide a distinct focus of their own.

Stone Fortress and Local Architectural History

The remains of Nárameč’s stone tower castle lie in the northeastern part of the town. The stone fortress is relatively well preserved. Its external ground-floor dimensions are 12.7 × 11.5 meters, and its walls are two meters thick. Together, these measurements give a concrete impression of the complex’s proportions: in addition to its length and width, the thickness of the walls is also a notable architectural feature. If you are interested in historic buildings, the fortress offers more than just a name or a general location; its size and state of preservation are also part of its description.

Chapel, Stone Cross and Memorial

The Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk is late Baroque and dates from the end of the 18th century. There is a statue of the saint inside. A large stone cross dating from 1840 stands right next to the chapel. It is considered the oldest cross in the municipality’s cadastral area. The chapel’s construction period and the date of the cross mark different points in time: one refers to the end of the 18th century, the other to the year 1840.

Another historical landmark is the war memorial in Nárameč. It commemorates sixteen soldiers who fell in the First World War; the unveiling ceremony took place on October 19, 1920. Alongside the religious buildings and the cross, it is also a place of remembrance for the fallen. Taken together, the dates associated with these local landmarks span from the late Baroque chapel and the 1840 cross to the memorial’s unveiling ceremony in 1920.

Nature Park and Gbel Pond

The landscape, too, can be described through specific features. The municipality of Nárameč is part of the Třebíčsko Nature Park. Gbel Pond near Nárameč has an island and a wooded peninsula. Thus, two distinctly different landforms are part of the same body of water: an island and a wooded projection of land. If you would like to include the landscape as well as historic buildings in your choice of location, the nature park and Gbel Pond offer two distinct points of interest.
