Cross-country skiing and winter at Kleivane
Kleivane has a 3 km floodlit ski trail; the stadium and ski play area are right by the car park. There are also around 10 km of prepared touring trails through varied terrain, both in the forest and above the tree line. The options therefore differ in length and scenery: a shorter floodlit route contrasts with a longer touring trail network through changing terrain.
When there is enough snow, Kleivane offers ski play and ski training for children and young people from Year 1 upwards. The Kleivanerennet takes place once each winter. If you’d like to include the race in your trip plans, check the date in advance.
Trail activities in Vereide
The climbing trail at Nordfjord Stisenter in Vereide has a 5% gradient. Near the trail centre, Nordfjord Aktiv offers full-suspension bike and e-bike rentals, guided tours and introductory trail-riding courses. Alongside information about the trail, the regional mix of activities includes specific guided and independent cycling options.
If you’re planning a tour or course, check availability in advance so you can choose an activity that suits your travel dates.
The Vereide burial ground
The Vereide burial ground includes around 200 registered burial monuments. It is located on the Vereide vicarage and is automatically protected; the site is in Gloppen Municipality. This means that, alongside the ski trails and trail activities, an archaeological complex is among the local attractions that can shape your trip plans.
