History and buildings

The history of the Nevoľnícky waterworks combines a specific construction start date with an early milestone: work began on 21 May 1940, and water was flowing into the reservoir by the third day. The waterworks lies along the Kremnica–Trnavá Hora Magistrála, adding a historic site to the area’s nature and hiking attractions.

The first surviving written mention of Nevoľné is associated with a land register from 1487. The church also has historical and architectural details: it was consecrated on 13 September 1970. The church houses an organ dating from 1973 with 1,724 pipes. Together, these dates offer a glimpse into different periods of the village’s history, without relying on any single building to represent it all.
