San Lucido is a small gem on the Tyrrhenian coast. These highlights offer different perspectives on the town and help you shape your trip around your own interests.

Promenade, Terrace and Cliffs by the Sea

The Panoramica is a long promenade along Via Roma with views of the sea. It begins at the steps on Piazza Giacomo Matteotti and stretches westward along the entire old village. If you enjoy walking, you can combine coastal views with a long stroll along the old village.

The Rotonda Miramare offers a different setting: the terrace on the Tyrrhenian Sea provides views of sunsets and is now mainly a place to relax. While the Panoramica is a long promenade, the terrace invites you to linger.

The rocks off San Lucido are regarded as individually named natural sculptures and together form a veritable sea museum in the water. On late-summer snorkeling trips off San Lucido, you can discover the rocks from a different perspective.

Historic Routes and Townscape

The paved Corso Umberto I leads from the old main entrance to the village to the remains of the castle. The staircase called Silica e Reddra is part of the history of the town’s routes: it once connected the sea with an old gateway to the village and led via the paved Corso Umberto to the Rocca.

San Lucido’s distinctive Supportici both connect and divide the town’s lanes and small squares. This dual function is what makes them a defining feature of the historic center.

Connections Between the Village and the Marina

A long staircase connects San Lucido’s historic center with its marina. Tourists can use reserved Apecars to travel between the two areas. If you plan to use Apecars for your journeys, check travel information before your visit.

Festivals and Special Experiences

The patron-saint celebrations in honor of San Giovanni Battista are held annually from June 22 to 24. If you would like to plan your trip around this festival, check the details for the relevant edition in advance.

The Pro Loco San Lucido usually organizes an outdoor live event for the Festa della Musica each year in public spaces; admission is free. At the “Benvenuti nel Borgo” event, the route leads from the central Piazza Matteotti to the medieval castle above the sea. Architectural, monumental and scenic beauty provides the setting for the experience.

For 27 years, the Pro Loco San Lucido has also organized an event that allows tourists to discover and appreciate the lush mountains as well as the sea. Local experiences therefore focus on both coastal attractions and the mountains.
