San Mauro A Mare combines beach amenities, parks and cultural attractions. The water at the beach is shallow, and the bathing establishments have been awarded the Blue Flag. There are also motorboat trips and leisure activities to suit a variety of interests.

Beach and water

Spiaggia Libera – Accesso da Via Ruggero Pascoli is free to use and does not require a reservation. If you are planning a specific visit, check the local access conditions. The beach also offers motorboat trips. The shallow water describes the beach itself; motorboat trips offer a different way to enjoy the water.

Dogs are also allowed to swim in the sea in the “Fido d’Amare” area. For travelers with a dog, this designated area is a practical way to plan beach time without assuming the rule applies to the entire beach.

Access and accessible facilities

At all main beach entrances, walkways extend to the beach umbrellas. A JOB beach wheelchair is available at every bathing establishment; you can borrow one free of charge from the tourist office upon request. If you are planning to borrow one, check availability and the arrangements with the tourist office before your trip. The information office is located in Palazzo del Turismo Arcobaleno, Piazza della LibertĂ  6, just a few steps from the sea.

The endpoint of an accessible stop served by Start Romagna buses is also at Piazza della LibertĂ . Check current services and accessibility details before you travel. This lets you plan your bus journey separately, without mistaking the bus stop for the beach access facilities.

Parks and outdoor activities

Parco Don Ivo Rossi covers 20,000 m². Its paths are suitable for children and adults. The park also has an inclusive outdoor fitness area that is free to use and open 24 hours a day. If you are planning to use the area specifically, check its current operating conditions before your visit.

Parco Mare Blu has 6,100 m² of landscaped green space and a small football pitch. The two parks offer different facilities: Don Ivo Rossi has paths and a fitness area, while Mare Blu has green space and football. This makes it easy to choose between outdoor exercise and a place to play football.

Culture and exhibitions

Parco Stefano Campana is home to a permanent exhibition in honor of the architect Stefano Campana. The same park also features a bust of Giovanni Pascoli and a rock engraved with his poem “I puffini dell’Adriatico.” The exhibition, bust and inscription bring different cultural themes together in one place.

At Lungomare Pascoli, you can visit the permanent exhibition “I giochi di una volta.” The photo exhibition “12 passi indietro” is also located along the beachside path. Unlike the permanent exhibition on the Lungomare, no duration is specified for the photo exhibition, so it can be considered a separate attraction along the beach path.

Leisure, events and cuisine

The Parco Giochi Cavallino Rosso amusement park in San Mauro Mare has go-kart tracks for adults and children. It opens seasonally in summer. Check whether it will be operating during your travel dates. The annual “Triathlon Sprint e Paratriathlon” takes place in mid-September. If the event is the reason for your trip, check the latest dates and registration details.

San Mauro Mare’s culinary offerings include blue fish from the Adriatic, homemade soups, grilled meat, local produce, piadina and wine. Together with the beaches, parks and exhibitions, they offer a variety of themes to explore during your stay: when planning your trip, you might focus on beach access, outdoor activities, culture or an event date.
