Bagni di Tabiano combines thermal facilities with wellness, nature and culture in the surrounding area. The Terme di Tabiano, the T-Spatium wellness centre, and nearby trails and sights offer a range of experiences. When planning your trip, you can consider whether you are mainly interested in thermal facilities, wellness, nature or culture.

Thermal Baths and Wellness

The Terme di Tabiano thermal baths were founded in 1841 thanks to Duchess Maria Luigia of Austria. To this day, they are a centre of reference for the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases in adults and children. Alongside its history, the town therefore has a clear health focus that may interest travellers looking to explore this use of the thermal baths.

The thermal pools at the Terme di Tabiano are open to visitors aged 14 and over. Bear this age limit in mind when planning your visit, and check the access rules beforehand.

The T-Spatium wellness centre offers a range of relaxation and wellness programmes, thermal mud treatments and massages. Facilities include a sulphurous-water pool at 32 to 35°C, a sauna and a bio-sauna, a Turkish bath, a Kneipp circuit, a whirlpool and aromatic showers. The facilities thus include both heat and water areas, as well as treatments and relaxation options. Before your trip, check which facilities and treatments are currently available.

Nature Trails and Activities

Near Bagni di Tabiano, the Rio Gardello Trail runs along the Rio Gardello as a nature walk. The trail offers insights into the natural environment of the Parco dello Stirone e Piacenziano. Its focus is therefore on the river environment and environmental education. This offers a different way to experience the area from a stay centred on thermal pools or wellness facilities.

For a mountain biking activity, there is the “Around Tabiano” route. It starts at the T-Club car park in Tabiano. Check that the car park is accessible before setting off. This starting point is clearly different from the Rio Gardello Trail, which runs alongside the Rio Gardello as a walking route.

Culture in the Surrounding Area

Castello di Tabiano preserves two circular towers from the 12th century and sections of its stone perimeter wall. There is also a 13th-century watchtower with a drawbridge. The different structures give the castle its own historical character: the surviving features include towers and sections of wall, as well as the watchtower and its drawbridge.

Near Bagni di Tabiano, the Chiesa S.S. Gervasio e Protasio houses oil paintings, including a work by F. Pescatori and a Last Supper dated 1636 and signed by Picelli. Different cultural themes can therefore be found in the area: the castle is defined by its 12th- and 13th-century fortifications, while the church is home to the paintings mentioned above.
