Folgarida combines winter sports with mountain and cultural attractions. This lets you match the activities that matter for your trip to your planned travel dates.

Ski Area and Winter Activities

The ski connection between Folgarida Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo is part of a shared ski area with more than 150 kilometres of slopes. The Folgarida-Marilleva ski area includes 36 slopes totalling 62 kilometres, as well as 25 modern lifts. The two slope figures refer to different areas: the figure of more than 150 kilometres applies to the shared ski area, while the 62 kilometres applies to Folgarida-Marilleva. This distinction helps put the figures into context. The numbers of slopes and lifts may change as the ski area develops.

From Val di Sole, the ski area is directly accessible via four gondola lifts, two of which start in Folgarida. Lift access is seasonal. If you are planning your trip around the slopes, check the current lift operating times before your visit.

Specific winter activities are also described for families. The Family Park Folgarida has a snow tubing run; this activity is seasonal. At Folgarida Kinderland, children aged three and over can take part in ski courses or private lessons. The children's programme is also seasonal, and its details may change. So check the latest programme information before your visit.

Mountain Lifts and Bike Tours

The gondola lifts from Folgarida, Daolasa and Marilleva provide access to the mountain landscape for the general public. They are suitable for trekking, guided excursions and downhill cycling, as well as for families with children. From the valley, you can reach an altitude of 1,800 metres in just a few minutes; from there, you can enjoy views of the Brenta Dolomites. This means the mountain lifts are of interest not only for winter sports but also for a range of mountain activities.

For a bike ride, Trail Folgarida No. 712 is a clearly defined downhill route: this challenging singletrack starts at Rifugio Solander and follows forest and ski slopes through the centre of Folgarida to Daolasa. Its route and difficulty rating therefore differ from those of a general tour description. Trail conditions may vary.

In summer, the Dimaro Folgarida area is a starting point for trails in Adamello-Brenta Nature Park. This complements the specific downhill bike route with a broader guide for anyone who wants to include trails through the mountain landscape in their travel plans.

At the Cascate del Pison, you can reach a viewing point with facilities in about 15–20 minutes. This walking time is approximate: your pace and the conditions affect how long the walk actually takes.

Culture in Val Meledrio

The Ecomuseo Val Meledrio is an open-air museum on a trail that leads through the forest from Dimaro towards Folgarida. In summer, guided tours are organised in collaboration with the ecomuseum, during which the old buildings are shown in operation. The tour programme is seasonal and may change; checking the latest programme information is helpful when planning your visit.

The Via degli Imperatori also offers a cultural connection: the trail conveys the history and traditions of Val Meledrio. Together with the guided tours, it gives you a different perspective on the region from its skiing and cycling activities.
