Discover Entwistle

Entwistle and its recreational highlights

Entwistle is located on the western edge of Parkland County. The Entwistle Outdoor Pool is at the Entwistle Community Recreation Centre; Pembina River Provincial Park is in Entwistle. In addition, recreational opportunities in the Pembina River area near the community cover a broader area. For your planning, it is helpful to first distinguish between a pool visit, activities in the provincial park, the wider river area, and a trip related to the Rodeo Ground.

Swimming and lessons at the Entwistle Outdoor Pool

The swimming area at the Entwistle Outdoor Pool has four lanes. It also has a beach area with spray toys, a diving board, and a waterslide. In addition to swimming, the pool offers aquafit, private lessons, and swimming lessons. When planning, you can decide whether you are interested in the swimming area and play features or specifically in a class or private lessons.

The typical season runs from the May long weekend to the September long weekend. Registration periods vary by season. If a pool visit or class registration affects your travel dates, check the current schedule and registration dates in advance. This will help you plan for the pool offerings during the seasonal operating period.

Activities at Pembina River Provincial Park

Pembina River Provincial Park in Entwistle offers riverside camping as well as opportunities for paddling, hiking, and swimming. This selection combines water activities with a hiking option, while riverside camping is another highlight. Compared with the seasonal outdoor pool, the park is a separate alternative for trip planning. If camping or several of the park activities are what matter most to you, your focus will differ from that of a stay driven mainly by the pool offerings.

The river area near Entwistle

Camping and hiking are popular recreational activities in the Pembina River area near Entwistle. There is also a popular stretch of river for tubing. If tubing is your main focus, you can include this broader river area in your trip planning. This makes it possible to distinguish opportunities in the nearby river area from the provincial park, which is located in Entwistle.

Rodeo Ground and travel dates

The Entwistle Rodeo Ground is located on 43 Ave in Entwistle, Alberta. If you want to plan your trip around an event there, check the event dates separately before finalizing your stay. The venue is another possible reason for your trip, alongside pool and river activities.

When searching for hotels in Entwistle, it helps to first decide on the purpose of your trip: seasonal swimming or a class, activities at the provincial park, tubing in the river area, or an event at the Rodeo Ground. The relevant dates matter for the pool and events; for tubing, take the broader river area into account. You can then search for hotels for the travel dates that suit your priorities.
