It lies on the outer side, next to the coastal protection embankment. The path was completed in September 2016. The work included a treated-wood protective railing that extended for 670 meters along the outer edge. Check the current condition of the surface before your visit.

Hiking with Views from Cautor

The 6.6-kilometer SL-A 326 La Atalaya de Cautor hiking trail is connected to Polopos-La Mamola. It follows former routes used by troops and mule drivers between the Trigo and Cautor ravines and the beaches of La Mamola. The trail is designated as a route of ecological and cultural-historical interest and is suitable for families. From the heights of Cautor, it offers views across the sea to the Alborán horizon. This makes the hike distinct from the coastal footpath near the shore, thanks to its links to historic routes and its views.

Heritage and Cycling

Torre del Cantor, also known as Torre del Túnel de la Manola and Torre del Cautor, is listed in Polopos as a B.I.C. monument. The tower is therefore a specific cultural and historical point of interest under these names.

The XXVI Gran Premio Comarca de Polopos-La Mamola is an annual road cycling race. It is organized by the Ayuntamiento de La Mamola and goes as far as Haza del Lino.
