Santa Eugènia is located in an agricultural inland setting in the Pla de Mallorca. The views and rural scenery are associated with the foothills of the Tramuntana. At the same time, the town is linked to vineyards, wineries and traditionally produced Mallorcan wine. This combination of inland landscape, regional connection to wine and nearby mountain country gives Santa Eugènia a clear geographical and cultural framework.

Townscape

Santa Eugènia has a historic town centre characterised by narrow streets, stone houses and green shutters. The three features shape the townscape in different ways: the narrow streets determine its structure, the stone houses reflect traditional construction methods, and the green shutters provide a recurring splash of colour. In this way, the character of the centre remains tied to specific architectural details.

The streets, houses and shutters therefore create not an abstract townscape, but a clearly recognisable sequence of structure, material and colour that can be perceived together in the centre. It is precisely the combination of these three described elements that keeps the focus on the concrete townscape and avoids generalising beyond the municipality.

Culture

The municipality includes Ses Alqueries, Ses Coves and Ses Olleries. Cultural routes are offered through these villages and via Puig de Son Seguí. In the es Puget district, three mills from the 18th and 19th centuries have been preserved: cas Moliner Vell, el Molí de Can Camarada and el Molí de Can Fideu. Santa Eugènia's archaeological heritage also includes remains from the Talaiotic period, including a circular talaiot on the Rafal site. The municipality therefore brings together village structures, historic technical monuments and older archaeological traces.

Trails and landscape

Hiking and cycling are established ways to explore Santa Eugènia and its surroundings. There are numerous hiking trails, including routes towards Puig de Santa Eugènia and Cova de Lourdes.
