The length corresponds to around 1.1 kilometers, while the width is an average and therefore does not apply to every section individually.

Scenery on São Vicente

In the wider destination of São Vicente, Monte Verde is an important natural lookout point for mountain tourism. On particularly clear days, São Nicolau can be seen as well. The view from Monte Verde therefore differs from the description of Praia’s location: there, the focus is on views across the island and toward other islands; here, it is on the beach’s position in relation to Mindelo, Monte Cara and Porto Grande.

Liceu Velho - Gil Eanes is listed as a historic building in São Vicente and is one of the most notable buildings in the city of Mindelo. Palácio da Justiça / Tribunal is also listed as a historic building in São Vicente. These two named buildings complement the scenic perspective with historic architecture in the regional context.

Marina do Mindelo adds a maritime dimension to the regional themes of São Vicente. It offers berths for daily rental and longer-term lease.
