Bảo Lộc combines traditional tea processing with a lake in the city center and attractions in the wider administrative area. When planning your trip, consider whether you are most interested in the history of the tea industry, lakeside scenery, temples, or nature and leisure destinations. The locations also differ in where they are situated: some are specifically in the city center, while others are in Bảo Lộc’s administrative area.

Tea Traditions and Industrial History

Bảo Lộc is a traditional tea-growing and processing area associated with the “Trà B’Lao” brand. Nhà máy Trà Lâm Đồng 1927 has a particular connection to the tea industry. Planning began in 1927, and construction started in 1932. The factory was French-owned and is one of the two oldest tea factories in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. The historic tea factory is in Bảo Lộc’s administrative area in Lâm Đồng Province.

In Bảo Lộc’s administrative area, you can follow the traditional tea-making process of the B’lao region, from artisanal processing through to the finished product. This makes the city’s connection to tea tangible not only through a brand, but also through the stages of production.

A Walk by Hồ Đồng Nai

Hồ Đồng Nai, also called Hồ Bảo Lộc, is an excursion destination in central Bảo Lộc on National Highway 20. Its peaceful lakeside scenery features trees and flowers, and small parks surround the lake. There is a pavilion and a sturdy bridge on the water. You can stroll by the lake, enjoy the scenery, or relax. Hồ Đồng Nai offers a distinct focus for a stay that also leaves time to explore the surroundings in the city center.

Temples, Architecture and Scenery

Chùa Phước Huệ is in central Bảo Lộc. It preserves a peaceful atmosphere and the timeworn character of a historic temple. In Lộc Phát stands Nhà thờ Thánh Mẫu church, whose architecture resembles Nhà thờ Đức Bà in Ho Chi Minh City. Both destinations complement a scenic visit to the lake with religious architecture.

Bát Nhã Monastery is in Bảo Lộc’s administrative area, surrounded by green tea hills and three winding waterways or waterfalls. The ĐamB’ri–Dasara waterfall complex is another nature destination there: it is more than 60 meters high and surrounded by primary forest. At the Thác Đamb’ri excursion area, visitor activities include a tire slide through the tropical rainforest.

The Hà Bảo silk factory and other businesses offer further insights into processing, where visitors can learn about silk production and weaving. Tâm Châu Restaurant serves local specialties and offers free tea and coffee tastings. If you plan to visit businesses or take part in leisure activities, check current visitor access in advance.

Choose Your Stay Based on Your Interests

If you are particularly interested in tea, both the history of the industry and observing traditional processing are suitable topics. Waterfalls, forest scenery, and the tire slide offer a different focus. When comparing specific hotels, check the location and services listed for each property.
