Drobollach am Faakersee offers a range of options for a stay: direct access to Lake Faak, biking and skating facilities, and trails with views of the surrounding landscape. If you are looking for a hotel in Drobollach, you can choose your destination based on whether swimming, outdoor activities or a walk along the edge of the Drobollach Moor is your priority. The options below also differ in whether they involve a fixed location by the lake or a route with its own walking time.

Swimming and biking facilities

panoramabeach Faaker See – formerly Strandbad Drobollach – offers well-maintained bathing facilities, a spacious sunbathing lawn and direct access to turquoise-blue Lake Faak. Facilities include child-friendly access to the lake and children's play equipment. This means you can plan your time at the bathing area around both the sunbathing lawn and access to the water. Facilities may change; check the latest information before your visit.

Drobollach is home to Carinthia's largest asphalt pump track for biking and skating enthusiasts. There is also an indoor pump track right by panoramabeach Faaker See. When planning your stay, you can weigh up a day at the lake against the pump track facilities. Check the latest operating and access conditions for the facilities in advance.

Panoramic views and trails

From Drobollach, you can see the Karawanks and Mittagskogel. Hiking and cycling tours offer panoramic excursions at any time of year. The Slow Trail Lake Faaker See runs through the nature and landscape conservation area along the edge of the Drobollach Moor. This gives you two different ways to spend your time: direct access to the lake at the bathing area, or a trail through the protected area.

Views of the Karawanks and Mittagskogel, and the protected area along the edge of the moor, offer different scenic highlights. When choosing a tour, you can therefore also consider whether you would rather focus on a panorama or the landscape around the moor.

To reach the Slow Trail, take the road from the Faaker See–Villach motorway exit along the B84 Faaker See Straße for about four kilometres to the Drobollach Tourist Information Centre. Check the route using up-to-date navigation before setting off.

“Woroun auf der Spur” offers a choice of a short and a long route. The short route has five stops and takes about 50 minutes on foot; the long route has nine stops and takes around 1.5 hours. The long route adds four stops and approximately 40 minutes of walking time to the short route. The route may be adjusted seasonally; check the current route in advance.

Seasonal water activities and electric boats

Cold-water bathing and ice swimming are available in Drobollach as seasonal activities. Check local conditions and safety precautions. AHOI! Elektroboote also operates a fleet of more than 30 electric boats at three locations: Faak, Egg and Drobollach. Fleet size and locations may change; check the information if you plan to take advantage of this option. Hiking and cycling tours offer excursions at any time of year, while cold-water bathing and ice swimming are seasonal.
