Discover Seiersberg
Accommodation in Seiersberg
If you are looking for a hotel in Seiersberg, you can plan your stay around specific interests: diving at the indoor pool, a visit to ShoppingCity, cycling routes, walks or protected cultural monuments offer different options. The traditional Florianifest may also be important when choosing your travel dates. Conditions vary: the ski slope depends on snow conditions, while the festival dates are set each year. If one of these themes is a deciding factor for your trip, take its conditions into account when planning.
Diving Tower and ShoppingCity
The Seiersberg Diving Tower is an indoor swimming pool with an 11-metre diving tower and a diving school in Seiersberg near Graz. The introductory diving course includes a theoretical briefing, a dive in the indoor pool or diving tower, full diving equipment and professional guidance from a diving instructor. Anyone who would like to try diving can find both preparation and a supervised dive in this specific course offering. Course packages may change, so check the current arrangements with the provider in advance.
ShoppingCity Seiersberg has more than 180 shops, as well as restaurants and service businesses. The number of shops may change. The centre also includes Kinder-Löwenland, a supervised and staffed children’s area. This means there are different options to choose from beyond retail, including dining, services and a supervised children’s area.
Cycling, Walks and Snow
Three cycling routes differ in length, course and the stated level of difficulty. SR 1 runs from Neuseiersberg via ShoppingCity to Mantscha and is 8.5 kilometres long; its difficulty ranges from easy to moderate. SR 2 connects Neuseiersberg, ShoppingCity, the municipal centre and the neighbouring municipality of Pirka. It is 4.1 kilometres long and is described as an easy route for scooters. SR 3 runs along MitterstraĂźe and forms a 1.1-kilometre connection from Graz to Pirka. Check the current signposting before setting off.
Gedersberg is suitable for walks and relaxing hikes. When there is enough snow, an approximately 250-metre-long ski slope with a drag lift is also available there. It is aimed primarily at local residents and children. Snow conditions determine whether the ski slope is available, so the seasonal skiing option differs from the opportunities for walks and hikes as travel interests.
Cultural Monuments and the Florianifest
The Viktor von Geramb monument in Seiersberg is a protected monument. The statue of St John of Nepomuk at Gottingerweg 9, in the Seiersberg cadastral area, is also protected. The Paar-Kreuz wayside chapel is located in the immediate vicinity of Seiersberg and is also a protected site. The locations of these cultural monuments are described differently: two are associated with Seiersberg, while Paar-Kreuz is in the surrounding area.
The traditional Florianifest takes place on the mountain of the same name between Straßgang and Seiersberg-Pirka. The dates are set each year, so if you want to plan your trip around the festival, check the dates for the relevant year. “Floriani beer”, brewed for the festival, is served by Sudhaus, the staff restaurant of Anton Paar GmbH. The private club “Golden Legends Brewery Club” has been brewing various beers in a small brewery in Gedersberg since 2019 and serves them at the Florianifest. Attendance and the food and drink offering may vary from year to year.
