The wider destination of Općina Slivno
Općina Slivno is a coastal municipality in the Neretva Valley. The Slivno Ravno region, officially Općina Slivno, comprises 18 settlements at the confluence of the Neretva and the Adriatic. The municipality includes 22 kilometres of coastline between the mouth of the Mala Neretva and Moračna Bay. Coves, peninsulas and smaller islands characterise this stretch of coast. The pebble beaches in the coves are relatively far from larger settlements; this location is associated with a peaceful and relaxing stay.
In Klek, long pebble beaches and sports and leisure facilities are part of the local landscape. The bay is surrounded by olive groves, and Rajska plaža is ideal for sunbathing. Historic sites also add their own character: the Nonković Tower in Klek dates from the 17th century, as do the ruins of Smrdan-grad above Klek. Klek is also home to a necropolis with stećak tombstones from the 14th century. The Stećak Gallery is a meeting place for visual, performing and other artists.
