Salakovci: Cycling Routes and Hiking Connection

Several cycling routes and a hiking connection pass through or near Salakovci. Cycling: Climb, MTB Course and Different Routes

The Pula–Labin stage of EuroVelo 8 climbs steeply from Trget to Salakovci on the ŽC5103, and continues from there to the medieval town of Labin. For the Salakovci–Labin section, the EuroVelo 8 guide rates traffic volume as moderate. This rating applies to this section only; traffic and road conditions may change. Check conditions before your ride if you plan to take this route.

The Arsia MTB course runs from Raša via Trget, Skitača and Salakovci, and back to Raša. It includes both paved sections and gravel roads.

Other cycling routes differ in the sequence of places they pass through. The 405 Clear-Eyed Lucy cycling route passes through Salakovci, Viškovići and Brovinj, and continues to Skitača. The Bistrooka Lucija cycling route runs from Labin via Salakovci, Viškovići, Brovinje, Skitača and Sv. Marina, and back to Labin. This makes it possible to distinguish the route that ends at Skitača from the one that returns to Labin.

Hiking and Culture in Labin

There is also a specific sequence of places for planning a walk: the Labin hiking trail is connected via a junction to a route that runs from Gore Glušići via Markoni to Salakovci, and continues via Vlaška to Donišnica. Salakovci is therefore part of a longer connection that continues to Donišnica.
