When choosing a hotel in Banjole, your planned activities may be the deciding factor: Would you like to explore on foot, go cycling, spend time at the beach or learn about local history? You’ll find different places to visit in the town. The following routes, coastal activities and exhibitions can help you choose a focus for your stay.

On foot and by bike

The easy Bumbište Trail is 2.5 kilometres long, with an estimated walking time of about 45 minutes. It starts at the Banjole harbour car park and ends at the harbour. The trail includes a forest clearing with a view of the Fraškeri archipelago. The stated duration is a guide, and conditions may vary.

The Banjolka is another way to explore Banjole by bike. The route starts and ends near the community centre and passes through Soline Forest Park. The park’s ecosystem has been protected since 1996. Near the end of the route is the Cnobori Local Gallery. Its permanent exhibition includes reproductions and personal belongings of the artist Josip Crnobori and actress Marija Crnobori; the exhibition programme may change. The Banjolka thus brings together a natural setting and a local connection to art.

Beach and water

Centinera Beach is located in Banjole. Its landscaped pebble shoreline stretches for about 430 metres. The shore slopes gently into the sea; Centinera is considered suitable for families who want to swim in shallow water.

Centinera Beach Aquapark offers trips through nearby lagoons and bays, including kayaking, SUP, small-boat, jet ski and pedal boat excursions. Activities may be seasonal and subject to change. Check what is currently available for your travel dates if you’re planning such an excursion.

Diving is also available in Banjole: Diving Center Indie offers dives. Listed facilities include parking, hot and cold water, rooms for drying and storing equipment, and a terrace. Services and facilities may change; if a particular feature is important to your plans, ask about it in advance.

Fishing in the townscape

Banjole has a long fishing tradition and fish restaurants. If you stay with local fishermen, you may have the opportunity to go out to sea with them or buy freshly caught fish directly at the small harbour. This special opportunity is tied to staying with fishermen.

History in the open air

In the heart of Banjole is the Medulin Municipality History Park, an open-air museum and gallery. The exhibition covers the history of the settlements of the Medulin Riviera from prehistory through antiquity, early Christianity and the Middle Ages to the present day. The park offers a different focus from the town’s routes and beach activities.

The history park is suitable for visitors with reduced mobility and for blind and visually impaired people. Braille information and audio interpretations are among the features offered. If these are essential for your visit, confirm their current availability in advance.
