Hiking and mountain biking are at the heart of a trip to Čedanj. The village is the destination or a point along several routes, which vary in length and course; difficulty ratings are also provided for some of them. At Špičasti vrh, route navigation and a viewpoint come together. The chapel adds a religious cultural detail to the outdoor attractions. When planning your trip, the key consideration is which route and activity you want to focus on.

Hiking around Špičasti vrh

Špičasti vrh is a checkpoint on the first section of the Gorski planinarski put and on the Croatian Hiking Trail. Check the trail markings on site. The route from Moravička Sela to Špičasti vrh is listed as taking 40 to 50 minutes. It is considered easy and has no steep or difficult sections.

The approach passes through woodland and meadows. In the final third, a gentle, narrow ridge runs above the Čedanj stream to Špičasti vrh. From the viewpoint there, Čedanj lies below. In good visibility, views extend toward Risnjak, Snježnik, Guslica, Skradsky Vrh and Delnice. Visibility is essential for views across the landscape; the route description and the viewpoint therefore offer two different points of reference for planning your hike.

Another hiking stage is Camino Gorski Kotar Stage 3. It runs from Velike Drage via Brod Moravice to Čedanj, covers 16.4 kilometres and is described as easy. The 40-to-50-minute walking time, on the other hand, refers to the route from Moravička Sela to Špičasti vrh. These are different routes and details: a duration is given for one, and a distance for the other. Check the stage logistics before setting out.

Mountain biking

MTB route 773 “Voda kao izvor života” runs from Skrad through Čedanj and Brod na Kupi to Zeleni vir. Its physical difficulty is rated 4/5 and its technical difficulty 3/5. The two ratings refer to different aspects and can be considered separately when planning.

Another route is MTB Stage E3, which runs from Severin na Kupi via Čedanj to Brod na Kupi and is 37 kilometres long. The distance describes this stage; no difficulty rating is provided. Further along the regional route 773 is Brod na Kupi, with Zrinski Castle and its permanent museum exhibition. From there, the route continues toward the protected landscape of Zeleni vir.

Chapel and local culture

The chapel in Čedanj preserves a small collection of devotional objects, including a banner depicting Saint Anthony. Inside the chapel are also figures of the Holy Family, the Virgin Mary and Saint Vitus, along with devotional objects at the altar. These details add a cultural aspect of the village to its routes and viewpoints.
