Hasmark – Beach holidays on the Kattegat
Accommodation in Hasmark
Hasmark is a holiday area with campsites and holiday homes. Its long, child-friendly sandy beach on the Kattegat defines the destination; Hasmarkmose, fields and the Hasmark Beach Oasis are also part of the landscape. When planning your trip, you can explore the beach, coastal paths and leisure activities as different aspects of the area.
Beach and protected coastline
The bathing water at Hasmark Beach has been awarded a three-star classification. The beach is also recognised as a winter bathing spot. Dikes protect the coastline, as the area was once affected by floods and storm surges. Alongside the long beach, the landscape includes the large Hasmarkmose marsh and idyllic fields. This brings together a protected coastline and varied scenery of beach, marsh and fields.
Facilities at the Hasmark Beach Oasis
The Hasmark Beach Oasis combines outdoor activities with practical facilities. Its nature playground features a large climbing frame; there is also a fire pit, a pétanque court, green spaces and an open-air stage. Toilets, changing rooms and showers are available as well. If you want to cook over the fire, you can use equipment from a free lending station. Check availability on site.
There is a car park with 45 spaces right next to the beach oasis. As capacity may change, it is best to check the details before setting off. Two beach wheelchairs are also available at the oasis and can be borrowed from the reception at First Camp Hasmark Strand. Confirm their availability before your trip.
Swimming pool, wellness and mini golf
Hasmark Badeland & Wellness has a total of 1,650 m² of indoor and outdoor pools and is the largest water park in Denmark attached to a campsite. The indoor area has three pools and three water slides of different sizes. The wellness area includes a spa pool, a steam room and a sauna. Facilities, availability and access conditions may change; check these details before your visit.
Another leisure option is Hasmark Grill & Minigolf. The mini-golf course was renovated in 2024, is 20 metres long and has artificial turf. Its features also include a replica of the Great Belt Bridge.
Cycle routes, Enebærodde and local history
An eight-kilometre cycle path runs along Strandvejen between Otterup and Hasmark Strand. The hiking and cycling route on Enebærodde starts at Hasmark Strand and follows Østre Strandvej and Erikshåbvej. This provides different route details for planning: the cycle path between Otterup and Hasmark Strand has a stated length, while the Enebærodde route is described by the two roads it follows.
Hasmark’s history is also linked to the surrounding landscape. The Hofmandsgave cultural environment includes parts of the holiday-home area near Hasmark as well as the Enebærodde peninsula. Hasmark was once a manor, which was incorporated into the large Hofmansgave estate together with Knyle Manor. The Hotel Kattegat seaside hotel opened in Hasmark in 1916. These historical connections add to the picture of today’s coastal and natural region.
