Fynshav: Ferry connection, hiking trails and fishing

Ferry connection and getting there

ALSLINJEN connects Fynshav on Als with Bøjden on Funen. If you want to reach Fynshav by ferry or continue your journey from there, the crossing is one of the practical details to consider when planning your trip. Departure times may change, so check the operator’s current timetable before travelling. If the ferry determines your arrival or departure day, you can plan the rest of your stay around the scheduled departure.

Hiking trails and route lengths

The Alsstien section between Fynshav and Mommark is 11 km long. It passes through fields and forest and along the beach. This section of the trail therefore takes you through a variety of landscapes along a single route. It is marked with posts on site; check the markings at the trail before setting off.

There are two marked hiking trails in Nørreskoven, near Fynshav, each 2 km long. These details make for a direct comparison: the two shorter routes, each 2 km long, contrast with an 11 km section of the Alsstien. If route length matters for planning your day, you can easily compare the scope of the two hiking options.

You can also plan your journey to Nørreskoven: buses 225 and 226 run from Sønderborg bus station to Fynshav. From there, it is about a 1 km walk to the forest. Allow for this walk in addition to the bus journey, and check the timetable for your travel day.

Fishing, motorboats and the marina

There are many good fishing areas around Fynshav. For another activity on the water, WRS-Charterboat rents motorboats from Fynshav that do not require a recreational boating licence. When planning your trip, you can therefore choose between fishing in the surrounding areas and renting a motorboat from Fynshav.

Fynshav Bådehavn marina has approximately 150 berths. Along with the fishing areas and motorboat rentals, the marina is a useful point of reference if you are interested in water-based activities when planning your trip.
