Culture and History

The Klenotnice presents exhibitions on volcanism, geological development, gemstones and spiritism. The Suchardův dům is a building completed in 1896 in the Neo-Renaissance style; inside, there is an exhibition on the work of Stanislav and Vojtěch Sucharda.

The Pauline monastery church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is an important late Baroque landmark in Nová Paka. A rosary staircase dating from 1737 leads to it. The parish church of St Nicholas is the defining building of Masarykovo náměstí in Nová Paka.
