Events in Rybníček

The “Rozloučení s prázdninami” (“Farewell to the Holidays”) celebration marking the end of the summer holidays was held in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The 2025 celebration included a presentation about animals by the Pavlov rescue station. The end-of-holiday celebration and the presentation gave the 2025 event a specific focus.

The lighting of the Christmas tree was held in Rybníček in 2023, 2024 and 2025. In 2024, there was also a lantern procession followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree. The tree-lighting therefore took place in three consecutive years; the lantern procession was part of the 2024 programme.

The “Čarodějnice” event was also held in Rybníček in 2024 and 2026. The years differ depending on the celebration. If an event is the reason for your stay, check the date for your travel year.

The Rybníček Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded in 1936. Events it organises include various sports competitions and a children’s day. These add further types of events to the celebrations associated with specific years.

Local History and Memorial Crosses

Rybníček was first mentioned in writing in 1552. Historical accounts describe the village as having an agricultural character.

Two memorial crosses stand on the outskirts of Rybníček and on the road to Habry, commemorating a tragic event from the past. As places of remembrance, they offer a different focus from event dates: here, remembrance takes centre stage. Together with the first written mention and the village’s historical character, they offer another cultural and historical perspective on Rybníček.
