When planning a stay in Dolleren, it is worth distinguishing between the different highlights: the Circuit du Graber, with working farms and views over the pastures; the source of the Doller in Fennematt; the Le Schlumpf ski resort; and the Exaltation-de-la-Sainte-Croix parish church. Landscape and agriculture, winter activities, and architectural and local history are therefore separate themes. You can decide which ones will shape your trip according to your interests.

Trails and agricultural heritage

The Circuit du Graber passes several working farms and offers views of the Graber pastures, also known as Breitenstein. The same route brings active farming and pastoral landscapes together. If you would like to take both agricultural activity and scenery into account when planning your trip, the Circuit offers specific points of interest.

Another way to explore the agricultural theme is the Sentier de découverte du Graber. It offers insights into Dolleren’s former farming way of life and its living agricultural heritage, shaped by mountain life. While the Circuit highlights specific farms and pastures, this trail places the former way of life and the continuing agricultural heritage in a historical context. You can therefore choose between a focus on the landscape and a more historical perspective.

The source of the Doller

The source of the Doller is in Fennematt, at an altitude of 922 metres. It can be visited beyond the farm. As access conditions may change, check access arrangements for your planned visit before you go.

The spring feeds the Doller, and the river supplies water to more than 50 municipalities in the Haut-Rhin, including Mulhouse. The significance of the source therefore extends beyond the watercourse itself to the supply of numerous municipalities. Fennematt and the altitude of 922 metres pinpoint the source, while the number of municipalities indicates the wider scale of the river’s water supply.

Winter activities and toboggan run

The Le Schlumpf ski resort overlooks the village of Dolleren. It has a groomed toboggan run, whose seasonal availability may vary. If tobogganing is a deciding factor for your trip, check availability for your preferred dates in advance. This allows you to take the run’s seasonal nature into account when planning.

Church and cuisine

The Exaltation-de-la-Sainte-Croix parish church in Dolleren was built in the Neo-Gothic style from 1877 onwards. The church houses a statue of Saint Sebastian dating from the 16th century. The building and the statue bring together two historical periods: construction of the church began in the late 19th century, while the artwork is several centuries older. The Neo-Gothic style places the architecture in context; the statue adds a separate historical object to this perspective.

The Auberge du Graber serves homemade cuisine. If you would like to eat there, check in advance whether the inn will be open on the day of your visit and whether food service will be available, as opening hours and service arrangements may change.
