Lansargues offers several distinct reasons to stay: architecture in the town centre, protected areas, a winery with tastings, and an animal and leisure park. When looking for a hotel, you can first consider what you want to focus on during your trip: would you like to explore local architectural styles, visit a protected area, or plan for wine and leisure activities? The following highlights offer some specific pointers.

Market Hall and Covered Passages

A covered market hall on Place Saint-Jean is now used as the town hall. Its metal structure was built in the style of the Parisian Pavillons Baltard; the hall occupies one end of the square. The combination of a metal structure and municipal use makes it an architectural landmark. If architectural styles are one of your considerations when choosing a destination, this is a distinctive feature of the townscape.

Another distinctive feature is the covered passages through the blocks of houses. They connect streets or lanes, or provide access to shared courtyards. Eight of the passages are in an area bounded by Rue Jacques Crouzet, Placette, Rue de l'Argenterie, Rue de la Chicanette and Rue Montels. They serve a range of purposes, from connecting streets or lanes to providing access to shared courtyards.

Protected Areas and Planning Your Visit

As of 11 August 2026, the Étang de Mauguio Natura 2000 site is designated as a Special Area of Conservation (FR 9101408); it extends partly into the territory of Lansargues. The Étang de l'Or protected area also includes Lansargues and is open to the public. Access there is limited to embankments and paths; some areas may be closed in spring to protect nesting birds. Seasonal closures depend on the sensitivity of the habitat and management decisions. Check which areas are accessible before your visit.

Wine Tasting and Rides Through the Vineyards

A visit to Enclos de la Croix is followed by a tasting of white, rosé and red wines. Its 16 organic cuvées are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Manseng and Riesling. The organic range also includes olive oil and tapenades; fresh vegetables from the garden are available to taste. The winery offers electric scooter rides through the vineyards by reservation. The activities differ in how they are organised: the tasting follows the visit, while the ride requires a reservation. Availability may change; check in advance if you plan to book a ride.

Les Petits Fermiers

The Les Petits Fermiers animal and leisure park in Lansargues is 20 minutes from Montpellier and the beaches. It offers farm animals, a landscaped garden, outdoor games and inflatable play equipment. Water games are available on warm days; a paddling pool is part of the offering in July and August. Two dates are therefore relevant when planning: the water games are weather-dependent, while the paddling pool is available in July and August.
