Churches and Historic Sites

The historic site of Vieux Saint-Amé includes a chapel and the grotto where Saint Amé withdrew to pray and do penance. The small chapel on the site of the former church of Le Saint-Mont was built in 1852 and became a pilgrimage destination.

The Église de Saint-Amé was built between 1724 and 1726. Its wrought-iron communion rail dates from 1774 and has been listed as a historic monument since 1956. The church can be visited free of charge and independently, without a guide. Since visiting arrangements may change, check them in advance.
