There are several different things to focus on during a stay in Döbersing: the Marienkapelle at the edge of the village, a hike that passes through the village, and a cycling route that also crosses Döbersing. If you are looking for a hotel, you could start planning your trip by deciding whether to focus on the peaceful place of worship, a circular hike, or a cycling connection.

The Marienkapelle at the edge of the village

The Marienkapelle stands on Hagenbergstraße at the edge of Döbersing, in the direction of Gschieß. The Döbersing village community and the “Tannengrün” marksmen’s association helped build it; it was erected in 2010 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It invites visitors to reflection and prayer, as well as to spend some quiet time. The chapel thus provides a religious point of interest alongside tours planned around distance and route.

Protected area and circular hiking trail

The SPA sub-area designated “Östlich Döbersing” (East of Döbersing), 6741-471.08, covers 272.4 hectares; the management plan is dated October 2024. If you want to visit a specific spot, check the protected-area designation and boundary for that location.

The We02, the Moos circular hiking trail, runs from Dalking parish church via Reisach and Döbersing and back to Dalking parish church. The hike is 5.7 kilometers long, with a stated duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. Before entering the forest, the route offers a view in the direction of Döbersing. It thus connects a clearly defined starting and return point in Dalking with a section through Döbersing. If you prefer a circular route, you can use the stated distance and duration as a guide.

Cycling route and other trails

The Weiding-Gleißenberg cycling route is designated as an easy route, 9.9 kilometers long, and leads via Dalking and Döbersing to Gleißenberg. From Weiding Town Hall, the route goes via Zelz and the Dalking sports ground to Döbersing; from there, a gravel farm track heads toward Rußmühle.

The G7 Döbersinger Weg runs through Döbersing and connects Gleißenberg, Ried, Gschieß and Rußmühle. Different features matter when choosing between the routes described: the We02 is a 5.7-kilometer hike with a stated duration and a return to Dalking; the cycling route is 9.9 kilometers long and rated easy. The G7 focuses on connections between the places named.

In the broader Weiding destination

The broader Weiding destination includes additional attractions located there. The Marienkirche in Weiding was consecrated on October 11, 1959. The Europa-Allee at Weiding’s Chambtal primary school features native trees from the 28 EU member states. The We01, the Haidsteiner Weg, also starts at Weiding Town Hall. It is 7.8 kilometers long and runs via Neumühlen, Walting and Haid, through the Haidholz forest and via Nickelhöhe, Kohlstatt and the Waltinger Weg to Haidstein at an altitude of 743 meters. These distinct attractions in Weiding complement the local points of interest in Döbersing.
