Bad Füssing offers several specific points of interest to help you plan your trip: thermal baths with a variety of pools, a spa orchestra that performs regularly, an autumn festival, and cycling and meditation trails.

Thermal baths and their different facilities

Therme Eins has twelve pool attractions, each with a different design and temperature, and a total water surface of 2,500 m². Europa Therme has 17 pools with different designs across a 3,000 m² thermal bathing area. Its sauna area is also a distinct part of the offer, covering 1,000 m².

Europa Therme features a current channel, whirlpools, a relaxation and unwinding pool with an underwater music system, a large sulfur gas pool, and the AeroSalzum. At Johannesbad, the indoor thermal wave pool has a water temperature of 33 to 35 °C. Its eight exercise pools also include a current massage pool with a water surface of around 1,000 m² and a temperature of 33 to 35 °C.

The sauna courtyard at Therme Eins offers something different: it is located in an original Rottal four-sided farmstead. Therme Eins began operating in the 1950s. Bad Füssing’s thermal bath facilities therefore combine specific offerings with a chapter of the town’s history that reaches back a long way.

Descriptions of facilities and temperatures may change following renovations. Check the details with the respective operators before your visit.

Spa orchestra and cultural festival

The Bad Füssing spa orchestra performs ten times every week. Its repertoire includes opera, operetta and classical music, including works by Mozart and Haydn. It also features more modern melodies by Gershwin and well-known musicals such as “Jesus Christ Superstar.” If music is important when planning your trip, it is worth checking the schedule, as the published weekly program may change.

The cultural festival is a recurring highlight in Bad Füssing in autumn. The program varies from year to year. So check the dates and program for your travel dates rather than assuming the event follows the same schedule each year.

Cycling routes, meditation trail and Bible garden

Two routes of different lengths and destinations are available for cycling. The Bad Füssing Church Cycling Route is over 30 kilometers long and takes you to the churches in the municipality. The RadKapellenWeg, around 25 kilometers long, passes through the countryside around Bad Füssing. On “thermal cycling” trips, visitors to Bad Füssing combine cycling with thermal bathing; no specific route is prescribed.

The meditation trail starts at the “Helping Hands” sculpture in front of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. It passes through the labyrinth in front of the church, into the church, and continues to the recreation park, the pond and the island in the park. From there, it runs through the Bible garden and on to the linden tree in the spa park. This sequence of stops gives the trail a distinctive focus between church, park and garden.

The Bible garden is located in a park between the Protestant and Catholic churches. Its landscaped miniature settings are home to 80 of the 110 plants mentioned in the Bible. For visitors interested in plants and religious themes, the garden offers a clear contrast with the thermal baths and music program.
