Chabsko offers two concrete starting points for planning a trip: the exhibitions at the Muzeum Ziemi Mogileńskiej and a suggested cycling loop. If you are looking for a hotel in Chabsko, these themes can help you decide whether you want your stay to focus more on regional culture or cycling.

Exhibitions in Chabsko

On 15 May 2026, the Muzeum Ziemi Mogileńskiej in Chabsko opened the permanent exhibition “Sztuka Ziemi Mogileńskiej”. The museum also features an exhibition on folk culture and folk art, crafts, and the everyday lives of the region’s residents. The two presentations have different focuses: the permanent exhibition is devoted to the region’s art, while the other exhibition brings together folk culture, craftsmanship and everyday life.

The museum therefore offers more than one way to explore its themes: art sits alongside questions of regional life and craftsmanship. If you would like your stay to have a cultural focus, these different themes can help you decide which subjects interest you most.

A suggested cycling loop

For cyclists, there is a suggested loop of about 30 km around Jezioro Kamienieckie. The route passes through Chabsko and the Muzeum Ziemi Mogileńskiej; it is currently unmarked. The loop thus adds a specific route to the cultural perspective, taking in the lake, Chabsko and the museum. If you are considering the loop, bear in mind that it is an unmarked suggestion and do not rely on signposts for navigation.

Festyn with culture and workshops

At the 24th Festyn “Chlebem i Miodem” at the Muzeum Ziemi Mogileńskiej in Chabsko, visitors could sample local specialties, view and buy handicrafts, and take part in soap-making and pottery workshops. The program therefore ranged from tastings and handicrafts to hands-on workshops. The Festyn is held regularly, but program details may vary from year to year. If you are planning a visit around the event, check the program for that particular edition.

Mogilno as a distinct regional context

The wider destination of Mogilno has its own architectural highlights. The Fara – kościół św. Jakuba Apostoła – is a Gothic church dating from 1511. Its main altar features a painting of Saint James the Greater from the 18th century. The Fara thus brings together a clearly specified construction date and a later furnishing.

The Klasztor pobenedyktyński monastery complex was built by Benedictines in Mogilno in the 11th century, on a small hill on the northeastern shore of Jezioro Mogileńskie. Its church preserves the original form of a Romanesque basilica with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque accents. The west crypt is considered one of three crypts of its kind in Europe. Together, the Fara and the monastery church showcase different architectural highlights in Mogilno.

Public spaces are also part of Mogilno’s distinct context: the Park miejski z amfiteatrem letnim i fontanną is in the center of Mogilno. The park has a fountain, as well as renovated paths with new lighting. The summer amphitheater has 300 seats and is used for concerts and outdoor events held in summer.
