Radziszów combines church and architectural history with natural attractions in the surrounding area. The village is home to the church, the late Neoclassical Dwór Dzieduszyckich and a wayside shrine chapel dating from the 19th century. Nearby, the Malowniczy Radziszów route leads to Wytrzyszczek Hill, and the Bronaczowa Forest has ponds and a nature reserve. For planning your trip, these are two distinct focal points: historic buildings in Radziszów and natural features in the surrounding area. The places and details below can help you decide whether cultural history, views or woodland scenery best suit your interests.

Church and History

The first documented references to a wooden church in Radziszów date from 1325. Construction of the new brick church was completed in 1847. The interior furnishings are also precisely dated: an oil painting from 1769 depicting Saint Lawrence occupies the central place above the altar. The stone baptismal font dates from the 17th century; it probably remained in its original place during the fire of 1844. The two objects offer different historical details: the painting has a specific date and depicts a named saint, while the font is notable for its age and the fact that it probably survived the fire in place. The church can be visited daily before or after Mass. As visiting times depend on services, ask the parish for current Mass times.

The Manor House and Wayside Shrine Chapel

The Dwór Dzieduszyckich was established in the 19th century as an endowment by the Dzieduszycki family and built with their funds. The building is late Neoclassical; its design was created by Sebastian Alojzy Sierakowski, a Kraków architect and Jesuit. The manor house is defined by its endowment, architectural style and architect, while the church offers a perspective on other aspects through its historical construction details and dated furnishings. A tall, two-storey wayside shrine chapel dating from 1861 also stands in the center of the rural settlement. Its design and central location add another type of religious building in the village to the picture.

Wytrzyszczek and Bronaczowa Forest

The Malowniczy Radziszów route leads to Wytrzyszczek Hill. In clear weather, you can see Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, among other places, from there. Another walk passes through nearby Bronaczowa Forest, among oak, beech and fir trees more than 100 years old. The hill combines the trail with a view, while the walk through the forest draws attention to its different tree species. The “Kozie Kąty” nature reserve was established in March 1989 in the northeastern part of Bronaczowa Forest; it covers an area of 26.52 hectares. Kingfishers are often seen at the forest ponds.

Two conditions are important when planning your visit: views from Wytrzyszczek depend on clear weather, and visiting the church depends on Mass times. Bronaczowa Forest offers a different kind of natural setting: the walk passes among old trees, and kingfishers are often seen at the forest ponds.
