Explore Biały Dunajec via specific routes on foot and by bike. The walks vary in duration, route and destination: two lead to Gubałówka, while another goes to Kuny. The “Walk around Biały Dunajec” begins in Sołtystwo and heads towards Poronin. These different route profiles can help you decide what you want to focus on during your stay when choosing a hotel in Biały Dunajec.

Hiking routes with different destinations

The two-hour hiking route goes from Biały Dunajec via Tatary and Ząb to Gubałówka. It follows the Pogórze Gubałowskie ridge and offers views of the Tatra Mountains and the surrounding area along the way. If you also choose Gubałówka as your destination, you can consider a second route with a different sequence of stops and a longer duration: it takes three hours and passes through Leszczyny, Sierockie, Rolów Wierch and Ząb. Both routes share the same destination, but differ in their stated duration and the intermediate places mentioned.

A three-and-a-half-hour hiking route leads from Biały Dunajec via Stołowe, Gliczarów Górny, Gliczarów Dolny and Wojtusiców Wierch to Kuny. It therefore has a different destination from the two hikes to Gubałówka. When planning, you can consider the duration and destination together; the route to Kuny takes longer than the two routes to Gubałówka.

Cycling: compare distance and travel time

A cycling route of about 15 kilometres goes from Biały Dunajec via Gliczarów Dolny and Gliczarów Górny, returning to Biały Dunajec. Two other routes are classified as difficult, and both start at the municipal office. The 12-kilometre route has an elevation gain of 300 metres and a stated riding time of three hours; it continues towards Gliczarów Górny. The 20-kilometre tour also has an elevation gain of 300 metres, with a stated riding time of two and a half hours, and leads to Bukowina Tatrzańska. Comparing the two difficult routes therefore involves more than just distance: both have the same stated elevation difference, while the longer tour is associated with the shorter stated riding time.
