Kokotów: Cycling, Leisure and History
Accommodation in Kokotów
Kokotów offers three points of interest for planning a trip: a past family cycling event, a planned leisure area, and a historical route connection. The following cultural and route information relates to the wider destination of Wieliczka.
Cycling Day and Local History in Kokotów
The Velo Kokotów family cycling event was held in Kokotów for the third time. The cycling day followed a route of more than 13 kilometres through Kokotów, Brzegi, Grabie, Niepołomice-Podgrabie and Węgrzce Wielkie. Along the route, there were four checkpoints with tasks and questions about regional history. Cycling and regional history were therefore both part of the programme at this edition.
Leisure Area and Historical Route Connection
The leisure area in Kokotów is intended to provide opportunities for relaxation, play and spending time outdoors. In 2025, a grass sports field, a children’s playground, an outdoor fitness area, a zip line, a table tennis table and table football were announced for the area. The facilities bring together different forms of exercise and play. As facilities may change over time, check the current status before visiting.
A historical route also passed through Kokotów: a former royal route to Niepołomice ran through the village. This former route adds another local connection to the history of the cycling day.
