Lubniewice lies on a narrow strip of land between Lakes Lubiąż and Krajnik and is surrounded by numerous pine forests. Water, trails and historic buildings define different sides of the town. If you are looking for a hotel in Lubniewice, you can plan your stay around these local highlights: local history, a range of routes and the lakes each offer distinct experiences.

Lakes and Water Sports

Lakes Lubiąż, Krajnik and Lubniewsko have well-maintained beaches with bathing areas and jetties. They offer excellent conditions for sailing, swimming, surfing and windsurfing. For specific planning, it is advisable to check local facilities before your trip. Lubniewice’s location between Lakes Lubiąż and Krajnik gives the town a direct connection to two of the lakes; Lake Lubniewsko is another point of reference for routes and leisure activities.

Hiking Trails and Cycling Route

Several hiking trails vary in length, route and destination. The 8.9 km red trail starts and ends in Lubniewice and goes around Lake Lubiąż. The 4.8 km black route runs from “Stary Zamek” in Lubniewice around Lake Krajnik to the municipal office. The 14 km blue hiking trail around Lake Lubniewsko starts at a trail junction by a bay and ends in Lubniewice at a historic bookshop. The green trail is 10.9 km long and connects Lubniewice with the Janie Nature Reserve and the MASTER equestrian centre. You can compare the routes, among other things, by length and named destination.

Another blue trail is 21.1 km long. It continues from Lubniewice through the “Uroczysko-Lubniewsko” landscape complex and along Lake Lubniewsko. For cyclists, the European R-1 cycle route passes through Lubniewice; 9.8 km of the route lie within the municipality. These route details therefore cover both specific circular routes and routes with different endpoints, as well as a cycle route with a stated section within the municipality.

Park Miłości and Local History

Park Miłości im. Dr Michaliny Wisłockiej is located on the shore of Lake Lubiąż, between “Stary Zamek” and “Nowy Zamek”. Both castles are part of the Lubniewice castle complex. At the restored Mostek Miłości, visitors can attach padlocks as a symbol of the lasting nature of their feelings. The park thus combines a specific visitor tradition with its lakeside location between the two castles.

In the centre of Lubniewice, the Church of the Holy Cross stands on the west side of the market square. The von Waldow family built it in the second half of the 14th century. Its location on the market square places the church in the heart of the town; its construction date and the named family provide another historical point of reference alongside the castle complex.

Nature Reserve and Events

The “Janie im. Włodzimierza Korsaka” Nature Reserve lies about 3 to 4 km from Lubniewice. It protects a lake in the process of silting up, with characteristic aquatic and marsh vegetation that provides a habitat for numerous waterbird species. If you plan to visit the area, please check the current access rules in advance.

Folkowe Lubniewice takes place every year in Park Miłości. This recurring event is another local highlight. If the festival is relevant to your stay, it is worth checking the dates when planning your trip.
