If you would like to take local history, religious tradition and local culture into account when choosing a destination, Reinschdorf offers several specific points of interest. The Bavarian Chapel, the churches dedicated to Saint Urban and the pilgrimage tradition are particularly defining features. Cultural and sporting activities add to the picture with examples from different years.

The Bavarian Chapel

The Bavarian Chapel is one of the tourist attractions in Reńska Wieś. It was built after 1807 in memory of 12 fallen Bavarian soldiers. It was destroyed in the 1960s; its reconstruction, based on existing photographs, was completed in 2007. Its history thus spans the original reason for the memorial through to its later restoration.

Churches and relics

The church dedicated to Saint Urban was solemnly consecrated on September 14, 1926. A new church, also dedicated to Saint Urban, was consecrated on September 14, 1985, after the construction and furnishing work had been completed. Both consecrations took place on September 14, but in different years. Relics of Saint Aurelia and Saint Timothy were placed in the new church dedicated to Saint Urban. Thus, the town’s religious history includes not only dated church consecrations but also the story of these relics.

Pilgrimage tradition

A pilgrimage tradition in Reńska Wieś dates back to 1878. At that time, a vow was made to undertake a pilgrimage to Ujazd for the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on July 2. The destination and feast day give this historical custom a specific context. The pilgrimage adds a religious tradition extending beyond individual buildings to the history of the chapel and churches.

Culture and community

The 2020 municipal status report noted that the Gminny Ośrodek Kultury in Reńska Wieś organized dozens of events every year, independently or jointly with other institutions. The 2025 program included workshops, concerts, celebrations and festivals, as well as integration events and social gatherings. It also featured arts competitions, theatre performances and childcare activities. The cultural formats mentioned thus range from community events to art, theatre and childcare.

In 2025, activities led by an animator, tournaments and sports competitions were held at the Orlik sports field. They were open to the entire municipal community. The program may vary depending on the season; the activities described are therefore both a specific example of the sports program in 2025 and an activity aimed at the community.

Riding school and horse station

The “Piaff Reńska Wieś” riding school is one of the tourist attractions; its address is ul. Rajska 50 in Reńska Wieś. A school report from November 2022 describes the oldest kindergarten group, “Biedronki,” taking supervised riding lessons with a pony. The group attended twice a month. This example belongs in the school context and complements the riding school as another local topic alongside church and cultural history.
