Turawa can be considered for travel planning in terms of several cycling routes and specific local attractions. Several routes start in or pass through the town; their lengths, courses, and endpoints differ considerably. There is also a palace dating back to 1728, which gives the town a historical connection. If you are looking for a hotel in Turawa, these different highlights can help you organise your interests for your stay.

Cycling routes with different courses

Three of the routes described are identified by colour; there is also a pedestrian and cycling path from Opole to the north shore of Lake Turawskie. Information about their starting points, lengths, and courses shows how they differ. In particular, whether Turawa is the starting point or lies along the route helps when comparing them.

The red Ozimek–Chrząstowice cycling route is 27.3 km long and passes through Turawa. This makes it the longest of the four routes mentioned; Turawa lies along its course, while the blue route explicitly starts in the town.

The blue Turawa–Świerkle route covers 15.7 km. It starts in Turawa and passes the dam on Lake Turawskie. This identifies both the starting point in town and a prominent landmark by the lake; the route is considerably shorter than the red cycling route.

The black Turawa–Lake Srebrne connecting route is the shortest of the four at 2.1 km. It starts on Opolska Street in Turawa, passes through Marszałki, and ends at Lake Srebrne. Its destination distinguishes it from the blue route, which passes the dam on Lake Turawskie.

The 14.1 km pedestrian and cycling path runs from Opole via Zawada and Kotórz Mały through Turawa to the north shore of Lake Turawskie. It opened in 2023. When comparing it with the blue route, both the similar distance and the different courses are worth noting: this route ends on the north shore, while the other passes the dam.

Two points of comparison can therefore help with your choice: length and destination. The 14.1 km and 15.7 km routes are of a similar length, but lead to different points on Lake Turawskie. At 2.1 km, the black route is a short connection to Lake Srebrne; at 27.3 km, the red cycling route is the longest of those mentioned.

The palace and other local attractions

Turawa is home to a palace dating back to 1728, which is listed in the Polish register of monuments. Alongside the cycling routes, the building is a specific historical landmark in the town. If you would like to include a historic building in your travel plans as well as routes, the palace is a clearly identified point of interest.

A description dated 18 February 2025 names LINOLANDIA as a climbing park in Turawa, right on the shore of Lake Turawskie.
