During a stay in Bystre, you can choose between different focuses: ski slopes, hiking trails, and natural and cultural sites in the village and nearby. The municipality of BaligrĂłd describes Bystre as its most important tourism center. When planning your trip, it is worth distinguishing between the options based on whether you want to focus on ski slopes, a specific trail route, or protected areas and local history.

Nature and local history

The “Cisy na Górze Jawor” nature reserve is located in Bystre and covers 3.02 hectares. The “Gołoborze” nature reserve is also nearby; it can be reached from Bystre in the direction of Rabe and has a nature trail. These natural attractions differ in location and the presence of a trail: Cisy na Górze Jawor is in Bystre, while Gołoborze is near the destination and has a nature trail.

A memorial plaque to Aleksander Fredro stands on the road from ORW Bystre toward Rabe. It adds a specific point of remembrance to the nature-related attractions. So, when learning about Bystre, you can consider a named cultural landmark as well as the protected areas.

Hiking trails with different destinations

The green-marked “Na Chryszczatą” hiking trail leads from Bystre or Wisan to Chryszczata. When choosing this route, the green trail marking and the named mountain destination are key considerations. The trail can therefore be identified by its starting point and direction toward Chryszczata.

A roughly 3.5-kilometer nature trail also runs nearby, through the valley of the Rabski Potok. It starts just beyond the “Bystre” holiday center and ends at a forest road leading toward Jeziorko Bobrowe. Its route through the valley and its named endpoints distinguish this trail from the green-marked trail to Chryszczata.

The route conditions also differ according to the planning information: conditions on the nature trail may change, while those on the “Na Chryszczatą” hiking trail vary seasonally. Check the condition of each route before your visit.

Ski slopes on Mount Dzidowa

Bystre Ski has two runs with different colors and intended users. The blue run is about 400 meters long and is intended for beginners or children. The red run is about 800 meters long, is FIS-homologated, and is intended for advanced skiers. At roughly twice the length of the blue run, the red run offers a direct comparison in length; the stated user groups also differ.

The Bystre Ski slope is on the south side of Mount Dzidowa. The mountain lies on the boundary of the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park. There is a grill bar below the lift. You can therefore consider your choice of slopes alongside the location of the ski slope on Dzidowa.
